Cristiano Ronaldo is one of two of the greatest footballers who are still active today. Together with Lionel Messi, he forms a duo that is considered the best of our time; with debate raging on and on about who is better than the other.
The Portuguese footballer came into the limelight during his days at Manchester United. Under Sir Ale Ferguson, he burst into the premier league with some outstanding performances that wowed the entire world.
At United, he won the FA Cup in his debut season before helping them to win three premier league gongs on the trot. In that period, he also won the UCL title and the Club World Cup. He won his first Ballon d’Or at the age of 22. It is these performances that prompted Real Madrid to snap the 1985-born youngster in 2009 for a then-record fee of 94 million Euros.
